Together they have announced yet another transformational gift through
Keeping the Promise… The Campaign for Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Their gift will expand and increase the capabilities at the world class Marcus Neuroscience Institute, which the Marcuses initially created with a remarkable $25 million commitment given in 2012.
Their intention is to give away billions more, accounting for most of their remaining wealth. Bernie Marcus was an early signer of the Giving Pledge, started in 2010 by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett for philanthropists who commit to giving away at least half their fortunes during their lifetime.
