AMY AND DAVID EISEN DONATE $1 MILLION TO KEEPING THE PROMISE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
BOCA RATON, FL—Amy and David Eisen have given $1 million to Keeping the Promise…The Campaign for Boca Raton Regional Hospital, the largest fundraising initiative in the organization's history. The Eisens’ gift will name the future discharge lounge in the new Gloria Drummond Patient Tower.
“We are so grateful for the Eisens’ generosity toward our billion-dollar campus transformation,” said Lincoln Mendez, North Region Executive, Baptist Health and CEO, Boca Raton Regional Hospital. “This is another extraordinary gift to Keeping the Promise, and it continues to emphasize the belief and trust in our vision and the urgency people in our community feel about the future of healthcare here in Boca Raton. Amy and David have stepped up to support us, not only philanthropically but also with their time and talent as Co-Chairs of our Annual Golf Tournament for the past three years. We owe them our deep gratitude.”
The Eisens became full-time Florida residents after completing construction on their Delray Beach home in 2022. With David’s parents, sister, and brother-in-law already calling South Florida home, the transition was easy for the native Long Islanders. They had been vacationing in the area for many years and were very familiar with the community and Boca Raton Regional Hospital as well.
David explains, “With aging parents, you quickly realize the importance of having state-of-the-art healthcare in your own backyard. We need to continue to recruit the best clinicians, install the latest technology, and be involved in cutting-edge research – to do this, we need the philanthropic support of our friends and neighbors.”
The Eisens have stressed the importance of continuing to develop a well-respected hospital that can rival any big city healthcare facility while still offering the warmth and comforting environment that Boca Regional has been known for since opening its doors in 1967. Amy and David also share how the continued growth of the hospital is a shared responsibility of the community; any gift amount contributes to the overall success of the hospital and its institutes.
“Having raised close to $290 million for the Keeping the Promise Campaign, we remain deeply grateful to our donors, who recognize that our journey is far from over,” said Mark Larkin, President of the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation. “Amy and David understand that sustained philanthropy is essential to driving progress. While we celebrate our recent achievements, there is still much work to be done to realize the full potential of our medical campus. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Eisens for their generous gift.”
The Keeping the Promise Campaign is the largest fundraising initiative in Boca Regional’s history and is supporting more than $1 billion in capital investments. The campus redevelopment plans include the Gloria Drummond Patient Tower and a Critical Care Tower where patients will be welcomed in the inviting new Louis B. and Anne W. Green Lobby with plans for retail, dining, meeting space, a sanctuary, outdoor courtyards and other conveniences for visitors. The project features all private patient rooms exceeding the latest safety standards for patient care. In the current hospital building, all existing rooms will be converted to private in a comprehensive renovation of all patient units including maternity, oncology, and orthopedics. An expansion of the Marcus Neuroscience Institute is now completed with an emphasis on stroke, central nervous system tumors, spine, and epilepsy. The 972-car Schmidt Family Parking Facility will be connected to the Marcus Neuroscience Institute. The new Toby and Leon Cooperman Medical Arts Pavilion is home to our Orthopedic Institute with an outpatient surgery center and physician specialty offices and is adjacent to the Eleanor Baldwin Parking Facility.
